volunteer with us

become a volunteer

The Craven Arts Council & Gallery would not be able to run the way that it does without our dedicated volunteers.
By pledging to work as few as 1-2 days a month, you could greatly assist in the day to day running of the Craven Arts Council.
Ages 18+ please.

Sales Gallery Volunteer

This position would entail greeting customers as they enter the shop, assisting them with any questions that they have about items, ringing up any purchases that are made, and simply making sure that the customers have a pleasant experience here at the gallery shop.  Some training will be involved to use the cash register but a staff member will always be present to help if any problems were to arise.

Docent

This position involves greeting patrons as they enter the building, answering any questions that may arise, ensuring the safety of the art and patron while they are in the gallery and making sure that all visitors have a pleasant experience here at the Craven Arts Council and Gallery.  Training for this position is minimal and involves a short orientation to the building and reading the Luminary that is provided at the docent desk so that you are up to date on the information pertaining to the current gallery show.
For more information or to apply to volunteer please contact us at info@cravenarts.org or visit us at the Bank of the Arts!
