Accessibility at Bank of the Arts
Craven Arts Council & Gallery strives to create an environment where the arts are open and accessible to all members of our community. We are consistently evaluating our exhibitions, programs, and events for ways to ensure all people can participate, contribute, and enjoy the benefits of arts and culture. Our 2006 renovation included ADA compliance, and we continue to evaluated new areas for improvement and growth in this area.
Current Accessibility Resources include:
-Wheelchair accessible bathrooms
-Ticket Purchasing Assistance-Call 252-638-2577
-Accessible seating at concerts and events
-Handicap parking at rear of building- rear door is generally kept unlocked during normal business hours. Sometimes however we do keep it locked when our building is short staff. If you need to use the rear door and it is locked, please call us at 252-638-2577 and we will be happy to open it for you.
We are currently investigating new accessibility features, including automatic door openers, audio descriptions of art, large print programs, and other options. If you wish to have a specific option, or a suggestion, please contact Jonathan Burger at [email protected] to arrange it.
Please feel free to also suggest feedback through our community input form, located here.
