How do I get my business onto the ArtWalk Card?
Craven Arts Council & Gallery coordinates sign up for the ArtWalk each year through our annual Broad Street Banners program. Businesses that sign up for banner have the option to check the box indicating they would like to be a part of the monthly ArtWalk. Businesses must agree to be open 5pm-8pm every 2nd Friday of the month, and must be located in downtown New Bern.
How does it work? Can I just come out for ArtWalk?
Yes! Most events, locations, and exhibitions on the ArtWalk card are free and open to the public. Galleries have exhibition openings and artist receptions, restaurants have special features, and retail businesses may offer special promotions and deals. Starting with the April 2025 ArtWalk, Craven Arts Council & Gallery is also working with our non-gallery ArtWalk locations to host local artists, musicians, and performers through our ArtWalk Connect program.
I am an artist/performer/musician/etc. and would like to participate. How can I get involved?
Gallery exhibitions and the like are coordinated by each location, so if you want an exhibition you will need to reach out to them. Starting in April 2025, we will also be offering our New Bern ArtWalk Connect Program. Click the link to find out more on how to sign up.
