The Office Manager is responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the Craven Arts Council & Gallery, including maintain membership rolls, press and marketing, graphic design, and others. CAC&G is seeking a candidate with a passion and background in the arts at any level. The ideal candidate will be self motivated, eager to learn, timely, and friendly. This position generally works Tuesday through Saturday, 10am-5pm, with some nights required. The position is hourly and the pay is expected to be between $14-$16 an hour.

Duties and Responsibilities

- General
- Interact directly with the community as an advocate of the arts and the Arts Council.
- Answer telephone, open and distribute mail.
- Produce and coordinate mailing of the Luminary, including writing articles, gathering information and pictures and coordinating with member organizations for Calendar of events.
- Provide assistance to the Executive Director for grants, fundraising, etc.
- Assist in Gallery Shop and Box Office sales.
- Assist in maintaining the office and Gallery cleaning and organization
- Membership
- Mail monthly membership renewal forms.
- Receive and process renewals and update membership/donor database.
- Write thank you notes to new and renewing members, fundraisers, memorials, donations in general.
- Prepare Year End Giving pledge cards and letters and annual meeting notices and proxy cards. Prepare monthly membership report for Board of Directors meeting.
- Follow up on lapsed memberships
- Programming
- Help the Executive Director set up facility for concerts or lectures
- Maintain schedule and records for programming and fundraising events. Respond to rental inquiries received via weddingwire and eventactive through email. Maintain file of contracts, ensure payments/deposits received in timely manner.
- Public Relations
- Create and distribute press releases as advised by the Executive Director
- Financial
- Create and enter data in relevant programs & files
- Coordinate and send data to the Treasurer
- Provide bookkeeping assistance as directed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
