Grassroots Grant Program

The North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Arts Program distributes funds for arts programming, primarily through local arts councils, to all 100 North Carolina counties. As the Designated County Partner for Craven County, the Craven Arts Council & Gallery works closely with more than a dozen deserving groups to help bring programs to the communities in our area.
The North Carolina Arts Council’s Grassroots Arts Program provides art experiences to North Carolina communities. Using a per capita-based formula, the program provides funding for the arts in all 100 counties of the state through partnerships with local arts councils. Applications are available for 501(c)3 non-profit organizations whose purpose is to promote and develop diverse cultural arts programming in Craven County. The Craven Arts Council & Gallery accepts applications for the North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Arts Program. Funding priority is given to qualified arts organizations •Theaters •Galleries •choral societies •festivals •arts-in-education programs conducted by qualified artists •community organizations that provide arts programs |
Craven Arts Council & Gallery is the Designated County Partner for the the North Carolina Arts Council in Craven County.

For FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-2024 Craven Arts Council & Gallery will also distribute American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to Craven County organizations. This funding is is intended as an investment in capacity building for the arts in Craven County, and will have special, specific guidelines.
