Fleetwood Mac performed by the Bonafides

May 20th - 7 pm
Preconcert Talk - 6:30 pm
Doors open - 6 pm

Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. Fleetwood Mac were founded by guitarists and vocalists Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer, and drummer Mick Fleetwood. Buckingham and Nicks gave the band a more pop rock sound and their 1975 album Fleetwood Mac reached No. 1 in the United States. Fleetwood Mac have sold more than 120 million records worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling bands.  In 1998 the band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. Hit songs include "The Chain", "Dreams", and "Everywhere".

The Bonafides are a group of friends from New Bern, NC, having a blast while playing songs they love. With acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, fiddle, bass, drums, banjo, harmonicas and soaring harmonies, our musical tastes range far and wide. Need some Carter Family classics? Check. Old Crow Medicine Show? We gotchu. Old-time fiddle and banjo tunes? We can go for days. ZZ Top? Yup, with banjo and extra crunchy electric mandolin thrown in for flavor. You’ll hear songs you haven’t heard in a while, and songs you’ve never heard played like this before.

Jimmy Buffet performed by Ken Kennedy

James William Buffet is an American singer and songwriter known for his tropical songs. Buffet started out as a country singer in Nashville in the 1960s. Friend and fellow country singer Jerry Jeff Walker took Jimmy Buffet on a busking expedition to the Key West where Buffet fell in love with the island lifestyle and began creating the music he is most known for today. He established an easy going beach bum aesthetic and created music which combined a multitude of genres including pop, country and calypso music. His first hit song, “Margaritaville” reached number eight on the BillBoard Hot 100 Chart in 1977 and number thirteen on the Hot Country Songs chart. Hits include “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere,” and “Come Monday”.
A native of North Carolina and resident of High Point, Ken Kennedy has spent his lifetime singing and playing music. As the vocalist for Piedmont Airlines he consistently amazed audiences throughout the world in his engagements at the Grand Casino, Deauville, and Paris, Frankfurt as well as most major US cities. He was the featured vocalist in the “Down Home with the Carolina Pops” tour with the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra.

Leiber and Stoller performed by Nicky Harris

Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller’s story began in 1950 when the pair worked together to write music, bonding over their love for boogie-woogie and the blues. In the years to follow, Leiber and Stoller
wrote hits for many famous singers including Willie Mae “Big Mama” Thornton , The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley and hundreds of other singers. Hits include “Don’t”, “Hound Dog” and “There Goes My Baby”. In 1985 the pair was inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, and in 1991 awarded the ASCAP Founders’ Award. Singer/Songwriter Nicky Harris was raised and still resides in Greenville, NC. By the time he graduated from high school, he had been in and out of several bands and played just about every kind of music. Harris credits these years for giving him the feel for Rock, Rhythm and Blues,
Country and Soul. In 1979 Nicky formed his own record label and released several regional singles. Harris had a “Top Single Pick” in Billboard and an “Indie Feature Pick” in Cashbox on two separate releases.
