Kiki Farish –juried the 2015 Twin Rivers Artist Association show at the Bank of the Arts. Farish received the 2014-15 North Carolina Artist Fellowship award. Her work has been exhibited in the North Carolina's Museum of Art, Southeastern Contemporary Museum of Art, Greenville Museum of Art, and at some point the Ackland Art Museum, as her drawing Rosemary is part of their permanent collection. Farish mainly paints with pencil, but also plays with oil paint. At the POV show, she will be showing three graphite on claybord drawings containing "I am" text on the wall and paired with large floorcloths lying beneath each. The drawings invite closer inspection, tempting the viewer into an uncomfortable space of walking on the female body to see the standing figure. The floorcloths, meant to be stepped on, will broach topics of gender roles and female archetypes in society.
