Kay Jarrett Jewelry
Kay Jarrett’s jewelry is an eclectic combination of metalwork, wirework, woven components of fiber and metal, and off-loom bead weaving - with some lampwork (mostly one-of-a-kind), and a few African trade beads. Kay works primarily in copper, German silver, and occasionally sterling. Although there may be similarities between pieces, she never repeats a design. Because she prefers the ‘aged’ or organic look, Kay torches, hammers, rivets, folds, punches, stitches and oxidizes the pieces to get the patina or finish she wants.
