eARTh : CALL FOR ART


Craven Arts is seeking entries for our Main Gallery exhibition eARTh, calling for artworks revolving around our planet, Earth. eARTh will celebrate spring beginnings and encourages the use of natural, recycled, or repurposed items incorporated into artworks. Artwork must be centered on the Earth theme. This call for art is open to all ages, seeking both adult and youth artist submissions for this Main Gallery exhibition. Craven Arts will host a reception during the March ArtWalk from 5 – 8 pm on Friday, March 14th at the Bank of the Arts.

​Important Dates:
Drop Off: February 28th & March 1st

Exhibition: March 4th - April 3rd
Artwalk: March 14th, 5 - 8 pm
Pick Up: April 8 - 10th, 10 am - 5 pm


eARTh Call for Entries
Terms and Conditions

-Entries are encouraged, but not required, to use recycled, reclaimed, or found materials. All artwork should deal with the themes of the earth, nature, scenery, and/or human interaction with these themes.
-This Call for Entries is free and open to all artists and mediums, 18 years of age or older. Artists under 18 may participate with a Parent/Legal Guardian wavier, signed before or at the exhibition drop off. 
-Craven Arts Council will accept shipped pieces for this exhibition; however, all costs associated with shipping, packaging, and insuring the shipment to and from the exhibition shall be the sole responsibility of the artist. 
-Each Artist may have one piece in the exhibition. Diptychs, Triptychs, and other such combinations are allowed, so long as the combined size of all objects within the piece do not exceed the size limitations as outlined below.
-All entries must be 36” or less on the longest side, and weight less than 50 pounds. 2D entries must be wired and ready to hang (framing is not mandatory).

-All works must have been completed within the last five years. Works must be available for the entire exhibition.
-All artists will agree to the Terms and Conditions as outline above, as well as CAC&G’s General Exhibition Terms and Conditions. The General Exhibition Terms and Conditions are available at www.cravenarts.org/tc.html, but are summarized as follows:
                -Artwork will be sold on consignment with a 60/40 split, in the artist’s favor. CAC&G shall handle sales tax and credit card fees from their portion of the sale.
                -Artworks will be insured for up to $2500.
-All artwork must be the original and unencumbered property of the artist. 

                -Artworks not picked up within 6 months of the pick up date shall become the property of CAC&G.
