Reginald Kenneth Dwight, now referred to as Elton John, fell in love with music from a young age often playing the piano in his home. He continued to play the piano and eventually began performing in small venues, but quickly rose to fame after his debut album, Elton John, reached number four on the US Billboard 200 and number five on the UK Albums Chart. Known for his outlandish style, lively performances, and powerful voice, his music is still popular to this day with his current and last tour, Farewell Yellow Brick Road, selling out its first 60 shows in a few hours. Hits include “Your Song,” “Candle in the Wind 1997”/”Something About the Way You Look Tonight”,” and “Bennie and the Jets.”
A native of North Carolina and resident of High Point, Ken Kennedy has spent his lifetime singing and playing music. As the vocalist for Piedmont Airlines he consistently amazed audiences throughout the world in his engagements at the Grand Casino, Deauville, and Paris, Frankfurt as well as most major US cities. He was the featured vocalist in the “Down Home with the Carolina Pops” tour with the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra.
