Arts in April 2026 Murals
Craven Arts Council & Gallery invited the community to join us in painting our newest murals on April 25th & May 3rd from 10am to 5pm.
These two new murals are currently in progress and are located on Broad Street side of the Chelsea Restaurant and the back porch of the Flying Fox, both located within easy distance of each other on Broad Street.
Craven Arts Council & Gallery will provide paint, brushes, and other supplies for the project. With the success of previous Art in Public Places programs, Craven Arts Council has organized to paint two murals for the this event: one on the Broad Street side of the Chelsea, and one on the back porch of the Flying Fox, giving participants and sponsors two opportunities to be a part of the creative process. Members of the community were invited to participate in the painting of the mural, outlined prior to the events, creating a large-scale paint by numbers. Participation was free, but all participants needed to complete a wavier on site.
