2022 banner project

Join the parade of colors that celebrates New Bern's rich arts community, exciting events, and diversity of people, businesses, and nonprofits. In cooperation with the city of New Bern, Craven Arts Council & Gallery continues their Unity Through the Arts project that serves as a stimulus to our creative economy and a fundraiser for CAC&G.
For the past seven years we have lined Broad Street with colorful banners, representing New Bern’s numerous cultural offerings. We are continuing this project with the ongoing mission to:

• help create a sense of unity between uptown and downtown New Bern
• encourage people to value and experience all New Bern has to offer
• portray a vibrant city that can rival any other for its art
• support Craven Arts Council’s programs.

Sign up or learn more about the Banner Project at www.newbernbanners.org.

Are you an artist who is interested in being on a banner?

Submissions are now open for images of work for the 2022 Banner Project. Images must be the artist's own work and of high quality (300 dpi or more) for the printing process. Artists should be based out of eastern North Carolina. Images should be vertically oriented or large enough to allow a vertical sample to be taken of the work. Craven Arts Council will attempt to match sponsors and artists' work to layout the banners for printing and hanging. Artists whose work has been selected for a banner will be notified by February.

If you are interested in submitting a piece for consideration in the Banner Project please email images to info@cravenarts.org. Please submit no more than 3 images. Images are due by March 31st, 2022.
