Join us for the biggest Potters' Throwdown Yet!
This year's Potters' Throwdown will feature 2 locations, 9 potters, 5 high school soup teams, the Strung Together band, raffles, and more! Please join us for a unforgettable night of pottery, soup, music and more as we work together to jump start the Empty Bowls event in February! The Potter's Throwdown is free to attend, and a full schudule of events is listed below.
Bank of the Arts
5pm- Doors open to the Public. Meet this year's potters, ask questions, and browse the Bank of the Arts Hunger Show
5:45-6:45- Six Potters throw 200 Bowls in 1 Hours
6:50pm- Blind Throwdown- Potters will attempt to throw a cowl while blindfolded.
7-8 Open Throwing- Potters will throw large scale and creative forms, including vases, platters, and bowls.
5-8pm- Shelly Mathiot will demonstrate throwing
Richard Harper (Mongo Man) will demonstrate glazing
